Laura Lee Arrington

April 30th 1975 - November 23nd 2018

Laura was born on April 30, 1975 in Bedford, Virginia. She spent her childhood in Bedford and upon graduation from Liberty High School in 1993, she left for the University of Virginia. At UVA, Laura majored in English and was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, where she made many life-long friends. Upon graduation in 1997, Laura moved to Atlanta and taught art at the Wesleyan School. This was the beginning of a journey that took her from art school in Savannah, GA, to New York City, to Los Angeles where she used her artistic talents in creative roles at Brooks Brothers and other retail companies, to Florida and ultimately back to Bedford. Though each of these locations and experiences were unique, the common thread was the impact that Laura had on the lives of those she met. She loved everyone and had an extraordinary ability to connect with others. Her hugs were showered on people and pets and endeared her to all. She had a passion for music, literature and art and was incredibly talented in all three; gifting family and friends with notes of encouragement, works of art and other personalized tokens that expressed her love and appreciation. Having accepted Christ at an early age, the Lord took her to her Heavenly home on November 23, 2018. Laura was a smart, creative, beautiful young woman and her laughter and song will be carried in the hearts of those who loved her.

Laura is survived by her parents, H. Steven and Donna T. Arrington of Bedford, her sister, Wendy and her husband, Larry Eason of Pomona, CA; her sister, Kristy and her husband, Adam Estrada of Reston, VA; and the niece she adored, Elise Eason. Memories of Laura may be shared here.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2 PM at Main Street United Methodist Church in Bedford, VA. Arrangements by Burch-Messier Funeral Home.
